Homemade Ginger Turmeric Health Shots

Easy Ginger Turmeric Shots

Fresh, hot, zingy & a little sweet to get you going in the morning and kick-start your day 🥃

This recipe can be made in both a blender and a juicer and there’s no actual fancy equipment needed to make your health shots at home. These shots are absolutely PACKED with vitamines and nutrients and are sure to boost your immune system.

What ingredients do you need for homemade ginger shots?

Fresh Ginger - It wouldn’t be ginger shots without the ginger! No need to peel your ginger as you want to safeguard those nutrients and we’ll sieve the mixture anyways

Fresh Turmeric - Same for the ginger, you don’t need to peel your turmeric. Just be careful with spillage as the pigment in fresh turmeric is unforgiving and will stain THE HELL out of everything it touches

Black pepper - Just a little crack of black pepper will activate the turmeric and allow your body to absorb all its benefits. You won’t taste it in the final product but you will reap the benefits

Lemon - All peeled and the white part taken off to remove any bitterness. Lemon won’t only add EVEN MORE nutrients to your shots but also gives it a nice little zing

Oranges (optional) - If you’re not ready for the heat of these classic shots just yet, add some peeled oranges to the mix to make your end product sweeter

Water - Just enough to get your blender going and act as a carrier for the juice from the pulp

How do you store homemade wellness shots?

Store your juice in an airtight bottle for easy pouring. You can store these in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. They will remain drinkable but lose their nutritional value over time.

💡 Pro tip: Store any leftover juice in an ice-cube tray in your freezer to store it for over 3 months and thaw overnight before consuming it

What equipment do I need to make Ginger Turmeric Shots?

There’s no need to invest into any fancy juicier or blender. A simple Nutri Bullet and a fine sieve will do just the trick.

Don’t want any pulp in your shots? Sieve your mixture through a cheese cloth to catch any pulp.

If you do have a juicer, feel free to use it! You could even re-juice the pulp to extract as much of good stuff as possible.
