Ingredients
- 1 vanilla pound cake (homemade or store bought)
- 1tbsp cream cheese
- 250gr white chocolate or candy melts
- 1 tsp vegetable oil (optional, for smooth melting)
- Food coloring (pink and red for a festive touch)
- Lollipop sticks
- Sprinkles, edible glitter, or decorations of choice
- Heart-shaped silicone mold (for heart-shaped pops)
Instructions
- Crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl. Add the cream cheese and mix until the texture is similar to dough.
- For classic round cake pops: Roll small portions of the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- For heart-shaped cake pops: Roll out your dough and create heart shapes using a heart-shaped cookie cutter
- Melt a small amount of white chocolate or candy melts and dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate. Insert the stick into each cake pop and allow it to set.
- Melt the remaining white chocolate or candy melts, stirring until smooth. If desired, add a drop of food coloring to create pink or red coatings. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- While the coating is still wet, add sprinkles, edible glitter, or drizzle with a contrasting chocolate color for an extra special touch.
- Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand to dry completely.
