Homemade Matzah Crackers

Homemade matzah-style crackers are one of the simplest recipes you’ll find on this site and are so good compared to the ones you buy in a box.

Ingredients

  • 250gr all-purpose flour
  • 140gr water
  • Salt to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix until a ball is formed
  2. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes and wrap it in plastic foil. Leave to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes
  3. Divide the dough into 12 balls of around 30gr each and preheat your oven to 240C
  4. Roll out the dough balls into thin sheets. You can do this using a rolling pin or use a pasta machine until setting 5 to get perfectly thin sheets
  5. Add the dough sheets to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 8-12 minutes or until slightly golden and crunchy
