Christmas Crack

Caramel poured over saltine crackers and topped with chocolate. What’s not to love?

Ingredients

  • 20 salted crackers (saltine or soda crackers)
  • 110gr browned butter
  • 110gr light brown sugar
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1/8tsp salt
  • 1/2tsp cinnamon
  • 150gr chocolate of choice (chopped or chips)
  • Sprinkles to decorate

Instructions

  1. Lay down the crackers on greaseproof baking paper and line them next to each other, freeform or in a tin
  2. Melt the butter, light brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon & salt together. Bring it to a boil and then take it off the heat
  3. Pour your caramel-y mixture over your crackers and place in a preheated oven of 180c for 8-10 minutes (be careful not to overbake it)
  4. Take your bake out of the oven and evenly sprinkle on the chocolate while it is still hot.
  5. Let the chocolate sit and melt for a minute and then spread evenly over your caramel-covered crackers
  6. Decorate with sprinkles of choice & let it cool completely before breaking it into chunks
